Moreover, a major chunk of the Investment Intentions has come
from Small and Medium Enterprises. While there were 4417
investment intentions in the SME sector last time, the sixth edition
saw Small and Medium Enterprises signing 12886 investment
intentions. In terms of projected generation of employment,
the figure for the fifth edition was 2,25,670, while at VGGS
2013 the figure is estimated to be 3,73,000. Moreover, since
the implementation rate in the SME sector is higher, the actual
generation of employment is also projected to be higher.
The sixth edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit also saw
the successful organization of the Second Global Trade Show. The
second Global Trade Show too improved upon the performance
of its first edition. For example, the built-up area for the Global
Trade Show increased to 104,000 Sq M from 35,000 Sq M last
time. The number of participating nations too went up to 121
from 101.
