On one hand there is financial crisis while on other hand
there is energy crisis. As long as financial crisis is concerned
the problem can be solved over a period of few years with
the help of changing situations. But if we want to save
humankind from energy crisis, it is necessary for us to rethink
seriously about energy sector with a holistic approach.
Once I wrote a letter to our Prime Minister and requested
him that as there are different organizations of countries of
the world, e.g. SAARC summit, India should take initiative
and create an organization of countries that are rich in solar
power, the countries which get most benefits of the solar
power. These countries should come together, create a corpus
fund, open up new dimensions of research and develop easy
and affordable methods to give benefits of solar energy to
the humankind. I believe that the day is not far when India
will be leading such organization of countries rich in solar
power. The petroleum university of Gujarat will also put its
valuable contribution in the solar energy sector and we will
follow the path of change in the world.
The whole world should think collectively and find new
direction and strategy to save the humankind from a
forthcoming crisis. When these problems are to be solved
